My birthday was Saturday. It was awesome, although, I have no pictures to prove it. BUT IT WAS!
It started out with lunch with my mom and Aunt Twitch. The O.G. (Olive Garden), which has been a long time favorite of mine. I got a really really REALLY cute purse and some shopping money. My mother knows me really well! I was a little bummed to see that my regular dish wasn't on the menu anymore, but I tried something new (GASP!!!!!!!!!!! THIS NEVER HAPPENS!) cheese ravioli, which was actually quite tasty!
Matt surprised me with a Kindle, which I am loving. I'm reading Gone With The Wind, a little nerdy, but it was the first thing I found an Amazon and I was so excited to add a book to my library that I bought it. :)
That night, we pawned the girls off on grandparents, and Matt took me to the Blue Iguana. It was the best Mexican ever and, you know me, I love me some Mexican food! The spicier the better! YUMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYY!
For dessert, Matt took me to The Melting Pot. We had chocolate fondue and dippers. I loved it and we will definitely be returning soon!
I went to bed that night convinced that I would never need to eat again, but I wasn't that lucky. ;)
In other news, Sloane is officially a bottle-drinker. It was a little bitter-sweet, but after some digestive issues and breastmilk issues, we had to wean her. It was harder on me then it was for her (I just wasn't ready!), but she's liking the formula ok and in a few weeks she'll probably forget there was ever anything else to eat.

Oh yeah!
Bring home some Oyster Crackers husband!

POST EDIT UPDATE!: Just received this text from husband: I'm on it!
I pretty much have the best husband ever.

The first time I ever had dinner with Matt and his parents, his mom made Cincinnati Chili. For a spaghetti-lover like me, this was the BEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN TO THE WORLD! (What? Chili you eat over spaghetti? YES! It is awesome! WITH CHEESE ON TOP!) When I found out that you could make it from a packet, I was even happier. However, this isn't something you can just find at your local Wal-Mart. Nope, you have to pass through the airport to find these babies. UNLESS, you have ultimate googling skills like I do! Then you can find these packets online! YEP! We'll probably be eating Cincinnati Chili for the next two weeks.
Husband, maybe pick up some bruschetta and fresh mozzarella too! Oh my gosh am I excited!
Happy weekend everyone!
PS: My mother-in-law doesn't make it by the packet's instructions. Nope, you have to have an "in" to know how to make it the really good way!
PPS: Someone's super-duper March birthday is tomorrow....

Stupid Past-Tanshyle!
Right now, my little stinkers are asleep. (Thank goodness!) I was really excited when they went down because I thought, "I'm going to lay down too!" (Gasp! What?! I like to take nap once in awhile too!?!?) But then I remembered, ugh dinner...
When stupid past-Tanshyle made the grocery list she failed to add 'Amish Egg Noodles' to the list, even though, she had CLEARLY added Chicken Noodle Soup to the week's menu.... Why did she do this?! Well, because she thought it would be great fun to make everything from scratch, including the DUMB noodles.
So, here I am waiting for my dough to "rest" (whatever that means!), so that I can cut out some egg noodles for my soup tonight. (I've made egg noodles before, they're not hard, just time-consuming...)
Note to self: Always buy egg noodles anyway!
PS: You know Amish Egg Noodles are the best store-bought egg noodles right? They're the best. Duh! They're Amish!
PPS: (There were a lot of (parenthesis) in this post, weren't there?!)
