10 toys have been drug out and then put away and then drug back out.
9 = the amount of times I have swept the floor
8 handfuls of cereal I have given Sloanie to keep her entertained while trying to scrub milk and yogurt out of the couch (Probably the reason the floor has been swept so much).
7 = the amount of times I have pulled Holynd out of the refridgerator. Yes, you may recall me mentioning that we needed to childproof of the fridge. It was childproofed. Holynd, however, figured out how to undo the latch in a week.
6 = the amount of times I have fed Sloane because she has an awful runny nose and thinks that non-stop nursing will help.
5 books have been read to children who don't want to take naps.
4 loads of laundry have been done because I'm trying to salvage a laundry day the best I can.
3 friends have been over. Which we love!
2 sippy cups full of milk which have had lids pulled off and spilled all over my couch
1 crayons have been eaten and then shared with Sloane. Sloane does not think crayons taste good. Holynd doesn't either, but she keeps eating them!
0 = the amount of times mom has been able to brush her teeth, shower, brush hair, change clothes, eat (nope haven't eaten yet), etc.
This countdown = the reason why I am an avid Diet Pepsi drinker.
This blog post = Holynd thinks it's facinating to watch me type, so we're typing random stuff to keep her happy while she eats lunch.
Husband, remember when you were on Christmas break and you were home with us in the mornings? Remember how you used to get up with the girls and I would be able to shower etc, while you helped with breakfast and what not? That was awesome.
I am officially putting everyone down for a nap.
I still think being a mom is the BEST job in the world.

R.I.P. Gator
I got a new laptop today. I will miss my "Gator" (My Gateway computer). We had a lot of good times. I applied to the U on that computer and shopped for wedding dresses. It was fun. But, it finally crashed. Friday night, poor Gator did everything short of raising the white surrender flag.
I am now blogging on a really cool Dell. It came from Nephi, UT. Long story, but if you ever need a really really spiffy Dell, Joe from Joe's Laptop Cafe in Nephi has nice ones! (I'm laughing as I write this, but this is really where we went because his laptops come with Microsoft Office already loaded on them. Matt needs Microsoft Access for school and it only comes on the MOST EXPENSIVE Microsoft Office set-up). C'mon! Have you ever heard of a computer store that has a cooler name then: Joe's Laptop Cafe! Anyways... Seriously, take a trip to Nephi! It's quite the party down there... No 3G though.
My laptop is so shiney and new. I hope it stays so perfect for a really long time.
I also hope it always has a 5 key, because Gator had been missing his 5 key for a very long time.
It's so nice to be able to type 5 and be able to press a button.
See... 55555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555!
No worries though, my Uncle Dave hooked us up with all the music we could possibly handle and my phone has all my pictures on it. Nothing was lost and we got to meet Joe. :)

Eating My Words...
Holynd had her two-year well check... Oh boy...
The day started out weird. Thursday is my second laundry day. (Monday is my first laundry day. It's also cleaning day. Well, Thursday kinda has become a second cleaning day too... Because, apparently, you have to add a cleaning day for every baby.) Anyway, I was hanging some laundry up to dry and my mind was wandering. I started thinking about how awful my washing machine was. I kept thinking about how all of Holynd's jammies were shrinking every time I washed them and how a new washing machine would pay for itself because I pretty much need to replace all of Holynd's clothes.
I don't know why it didn't dawn on me that NO ONE ELSE'S clothes were shrinking. Like my washing machine would actually be able to selectively shrink Holynd's clothes.
Anyway, I got even more frustrated when I put on Holynd's clothes and her shirt seemed really small. "Great. One of the last shirts that still fits and it has shrunk too."
I made mental notes to ask my wonderful husband to loosen the savings account purse strings so that I could get a decent washing machine.
I pushed all the frustration away and threw everyone in the car so that we could make the trip to the pediatricians office.
"Holynd smile 'cause you're going to the doctor!"
This is what I got. Awesome.

Well, I sat nervously in the doctor's office waiting for Matt to show up. I'm always nervous whenever I take Holynd to the doctor. After all the chaos we had after she was born, the nerves just seem to show up automatically. Not to the mention the fact that her growth has been so up and down that we never know what to expect.
Matt showed up and we took Holynd back. She was weighed (Well, Matt was weighed alone and then weighed again while holding her because she REFUSED to stand on the scale.) and then they measured her. And then came the waiting
Oh! How I hate waiting!
Enter our doctor. (I love our doctor). He started asking us same ole' questions... How does she eat? How often does she poop? Does she like books and toys... BLAH BLAH...
Then he got to her growth charts. I held my breath... ("Please be on the charts! Please!)
"Wow!" He said! "Take a look at this mom! 60th percent in weight. 91st in height!"
Matt and I's jaws hit the floor. WHAT!
"Yeah! She's grown almost 6 inches since her last appointment!"
Matt and I stare at each other. Both of us completely in shock! Holynd was in the 16th percentile at 18 months!
(I'm posting this as proof.)

Then he got serious.
"Now, we do measure BMI at 2 years old." He says. "85th percentile is still considered normal... Worrisome, but normal." I almost pass out! What is he saying?! Is he really going to tell us that she's getting chunky! "She's in the 13th percentile. So, pretty much, she has no fat on her either. Long and lean."
Then it dawns on me.... MY WASHING MACHINE ISN'T BROKEN! HOLYND HAS BEEN GROWING! Oh my h*ll, I'm the most terrible mother ever!
To end the story, Holynd received one vaccine and we were sent on our way.
We decided to take her out for a yummy lunch to help heal her wounds. GURU'S, which we love!

Sweet potato fries and nachos! What more could our little girl want!

Maybe a cookie from the Sweet Tooth Fairy. :)
My dear, sweet little Holynd,
You traitor. You joined the tall team without any warning. You have left me to defend the shorties all on my own.
I still love you bunchies!
Love,
Mom

One Little Monkey Jumping on the Bed
Holynd's toddler bedding came today! I L-O-V-E IT! Holynd was excited about it too. (So was Buzz, but he always seems to be really excited...)
(Pretending to sleep...)
I'm not sure if Buzz "goes", but whatever makes her happy.

Sloanie Baloanie is very excited for her crib bedding to come soon!

Maybe someday I'll get the nursery done. It was done at one time. However, it was only a matter of weeks until we found out another baby would be moving into the nursery. Since then, I've been slowly redoing everything so that the girls can share a room.
Now that I've looked at these pictures, I'm pretty sure it's time to put away the cradle (Sloane may be a little big for it) and quit using it as a stuffed-animal holder. I'm thinking the boppy-pillow may need to be put away also... We were using it to help Sloanie sit up and she's (obviously) mastered that.

Loving...
I am loving this website:
beingmomis.blogspot.com
These kind of blogs make me happy.
And if that doesn't tickle your mothering-fancy, maybe this quote will...
The First Presidency has said: “Motherhood is near to divinity. It is the highest, holiest service to be assumed by mankind” (in James R. Clark, comp., Messages of the First Presidency, 6 vols., Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1965–75, 6:178). The priesthood cannot work out its destiny, nor can God’s purposes be fulfilled, without our helpmates. Mothers perform a labor the priesthood cannot do. For this gift of life, the priesthood should have love unbounded for the mothers of their children. - Being a Righteous Husband and Father, President Howard W. Hunter.
I am also loving Sloanie's chubby cheeks. I love how they almost exactly resemble Baby Aunt Twitch's cheeks.

And, I also love the pictures I find on my phone after Holynd has ran away with it.
