Our Baby Holl-e-Bean!

We haven't updated in awhile and I thought I would get on and let everyone know were still alive! Holynd is a month old now. (I cried the night before she turned a month old. I can't believe it went by so fast!) She is growing like a weed and has outgrown all her newborn clothes. However, she's still too small for 0-3 month clothes.... I don't know who came up with baby sizes but, the inventor obviously has never had kids.

So, Bean has a hard time sleeping at night. She's likes to sleep from 6pm to 11pm and then stay up all night long. It wouldn't be a problem, except for she likes one of us to stay up with her. One of my sister-in-laws suggested moving bathtime to right before bed instead of in the morning, 'cause she would stay awake during the bath. NOPE! Not our child. Here she is in her bathtub... ASLEEP!

Drying off! She woke up for this 'cause she hates lotion!

After the bath idea went south, we tried the shower.... Not any better. She loves it so much that when we get her out, she cries and we can't get her to calm down.

So, we're still working on the sleeping thing. She's a little spoiled even when she does sleep. She has to sleep in our bed with one of us propped up and holding her. We love her to death, but she's really hard to sleep next to. She loves to kick in her sleep, grunt and snore. (She gets the kicking from me and the snoring from her dad.) Usually by morning, Matt and I are squished on one side of the bed and she's on the other side all spread out.

Announcing.... Holynd Reece Peterson!

We love our Baby Bean!
She's here! We're so excited. She's beautiful and perfect!

Born: 12-28-08 at 10:56am
Weight: 6lbs 15.8oz
Length: 20 inches

On the 26th, I went in for an Amnio to check her lung maturity. On the 27th, the doctors at University Hospital told us her lung were mature, her weight was awesome and that we needed to come in two hours later to start my induction. (Bean had a few complications they were worried about, so they decided to start me early to check on her.) We were totally surprised and scared. After 19 hours of labor, she's here and she's perfect. She's home with us now. We wouldn't trade her for anything. Even Heckles likes her!

Here are her first few pictures... I'm sure I'll have many more to come!

Enjoy!

As for Holynd's Guessing Game, my sister Tierra was closest on the date and my mom was the closest on the weight! So.... I guess they can treat themselves to some chocolate or something!

Hey everyone! Just a little update! We had an Amniocentisis to check on Bean's lung maturity yesterday. She's ready!!!!!!!!!!!!

They're going to start inducing me this afternoon and hopefully by tomorrow our little Bean will be here! We're so excited! And a little nervous! (Well, I'm A LOT nervous, they think Bean is close to 8lbs! I wonder where she got those genes!)

We'll keep you all updated and post pictures soon!

Just... Wake me when it's over!

Just wake me when the pregnancy is over, finals are over, winter is over...etc.
I quit!

So, we've been "Blogger Slackers" lately.... Between school, work, Bean preparation, hospital visits, Ultrasound visits and Christmas decorating... We've been a little sidetracked! Bean likes to keep us on our toes by scaring us every couple of days. I guess she has to entertain herself somehow! I think it might be because when I stress... I eat everything in sight, so she gets lots of fun treats! Anyway, here are some pictures of what we've been up to! ENJOY!

This is a notice to Bean. You have 30 days to pay or vacate. Since I'm pretty sure you don't have a job or a means of income for rent, we're going to need you to vacate. Sorry!

We put Christmas lights up on our little deck! We learned quickly that you always test the lights before putting them up. Matt got the lights all put up and then realized that half of them didn't work. We ended up having to take them down, return them and then put the new ones back up again. Don't worry though, Matt insisted on taking them out of the box at Wal-Mart and unplugging half their Christmas displays in order to test them before we left the store.

Heckles refused to stay inside while Matt put the Christmas lights up. He was a big help by sticking his head through the bars and barking at nothing.

Matt got Bean's carseat a couple of days ago! She's going to be so cute in it! I hope we can figure out how to put it in my car!

So Heckles was really excited when we took the carseat out of the box.... 'cause he wanted to live in the box. He slept in there for about a week and then started to chew on the flaps. I finally got sick of having box pieces everywhere and threw it away. He was a little upset.

This is our last year with just to stockings on our mantel! Next year Bean will need one!

Here is our Christmas tree! I put it up the day before Thanksgiving against Matt's pleas. When he's big and pregnant, he can decide when we put our Christmas tree up!

So I decided that the dog needed his own Christmas tree... It had these cute ornaments on it, but he ate them. So now he just has his stocking on it and a "Mistle-Toad" for his tree topper. He likes to bury his treats behind it.

This is our little Christmas table setting! We haven't been able to eat at our table since I put it up, but I'm too pregnant to cook anyway!

So, we're patiently (Ok... Not very patiently) waiting for our little Bean to arrive! I'm completely out of room for her, so I hope she makes her appearance in the next couple of weeks! We'll post pictures as soon as she comes! (Especially since we've learned after a few trips to the hospital how boring it can be! We'll have a laptop close by!)
