I love me some speghetti, so I was excited. Plus, I make pretty good homemade meatballs, if I do say so myself. Since I'm trying this new "thing" where I get Holynd to help make dinner, hoping that if she "helps" the control-freak in her will allow her to eat what she "made". (This has a 35% success rate).
I let her mix the seasonings while I stirred up the ground beef and eggs.

Side-note: The control freak in Holynd now insists that she dress herself. The "tu-tu train" pulled up to her armpits is, apparently, what princesses are wearing nowadays-according to Holynd. If you think this is funny, you ought to have seen what she wore on our lunch-date with G-ma today.... She actually had on a skirt + the "tu-tu train". I have no idea why it's called a "tu-tu train". Your guess is as good as mine.

After helping her add: Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Italian Seasonings, Parsley, Salt and Pepper, this is what I witnessed:
Stir
Lick whisk
Gag
Dip
Lick whisk again
Gag
Stir
Lick whisk
Gag
Say "Mmmm Mommy, delicious".
Gag, cough.
"Uh... All done mommy.."
Needless to say, she didn't eat any meatballs that night.
Well, after this experience, she didn't eat ANYTHING last night.
Today was a crazy day. When Holynd was little, I remember being exhausted when I took her somewhere. I would get home and crash on the couch while Holynd, who always seems to be unphased by a crazy shopping trip, would play non-stop until bedtime. She still does this, but now instead of being exhausted after a shopping trip, I'm close to death. Not to mention the fact that, I don't dare go shopping alone for significant amounts of time. I can do the run into the mall, visit one store, run out, sorta shopping trip. But anything beyond that requires a husband or a G-ma. Props to those moms who can go out with more then two kids. Shopping with two kids does me in! I mean, what are you supposed to do with Child #1 while feeding Child #2?! Or what do you do when you have to pee and Child #1 somehow climbs out of the stroller and it peeping at random strangers under the stalls?! (THIS HAPPENS!) I kinda wish present-Tanshyle could go back and tell past-Tanshyle that shopping with one baby IS A PIECE OF CAKE!
This is probably wonderful news for Matt. If shopping with two kids was easier, I'd do it a lot more often. :)
your posts so crack me up! a lady in my last ward told me when I was saying how I miss how easy it was with just skyler and me, that I'll be thinking once i have my 2nd baby i'll look back and think how easy it was with just the 1. I guess it's probably true :)
