We are still alive and kicking (all of "us" our kicking now, wink-wink). We are adjusting to life in a house, which has been a little harder then I thought it would be. Every once-in-a-while Holynd will ask to go "home" and it's not any fun to have to explain that our old "home" isn't home anymore.
I'm a little bummed the weather hasn't been all that great. I've got a yard and now we can't play in it! I did get my garden planted. Tomatoes, Jalapenos, Bell Peppers, Cucumbers, Squash, etc. It's going to be good eating around here if everything survives! (STUPID SUN! COME OUT NOW!)
I'll get some pictures posted soon.
So, my pregnant-self is still pregnant. Although, sometimes I forget that "Baby Hamburger" exists. He/she probably noticed though and has been giving me a nudge of recognition every so often - "Just wanted to remind you that I'm here... and you are hungry for a GIANT candy bar". Did I mention I threw out the scale this pregnancy? You'll not be hearing any weight obsessions here. Guess what? The cellulite came back almost instantly and my flapping arms showed up despite all the weights I lifted and yoga I did pre-pregnancy. Instead of obsessing like I did my two previous pregnancies (and probably causing A LOT of eye-rolls from everyone) I've given into the fact that it comes with the pregnancy and that's fine, as long as it goes away with the pregnancy. ;) If you'd like to e-mail me hate and criticism because I'm not monitoring everything that goes into my mouth, you can. I won't pay it any attention and I'll forever remember to laugh when you get the pregnancy-cellulite and arm-flap. ;) I tracked every calorie I ever ate during the first half of Sloane's pregnancy. Hate to break it to ya, but the weight came on anyway and I made myself pretty miserable by depriving myself. So while I do enjoy all my servings of fruits and veggies I need in the day, I'm not going to be worrying if I want a donut for breakfast once-in-a-while. (Maybe for lunch and dinner too).
Did I forget to mention that Sloane has (finally) cut two of the most adorable teeth ever? She waited quite a long time. I was starting to worry a little. She's not a very nice teether. In fact, by the time the first tooth cut, I was ready to start pulling my hair out. Luckily, she thinks Baby Tylenol is candy. ;) Again, e-mails filled with hate and criticism because I give my children medicine when they teeth is always welcome. Just don't expect sympathy when your little ones are teething.
you'll get no criticism from me on any of that! Especially not on the baby tylenol thing, I'm sorry, but letting scar gnaw on frozen things just wasn't cutting it. The ONLY thing that would make her happy was the purple stuff.
ReplyDeleteBrie. The purple stuff is a must have around here. It's gotten itself admitted into the Food Storage Hall of Fame. It will always be apart of my pantry... and so will the Children' Ibuprofen.
ReplyDeleteLove the ibuprofen Ryder is teething again now too and it's the most miserable he's ever been. Sounds like your enjoying the new house hope Holynd gets used to it soon.
ReplyDeleteTanner!
ReplyDeleteI want to see pictures of your house! And belly! =D Nixon, unfortunately, started teething SUPER early and the Tylenol has been heaven sent! No judgements here. And let's just say I was a little shocked about the whole pregnancy thing in the first place so i didn't even take the time to worry about food! Needless to say I gained A LOT... I mean A LOT. But I sure what happy! That's what counts... Right?? =D
